Hi first of all I would like to introduce my self as [GI]WaRmongR. I have done this tutorial for sof sdk as some people find it a pain to install and some find it hard to edit the files I wish you all the best in your mapping and hope this tutorial helps

you must also understand I take no responsibility if doing this blows up your pc and kills your cat dog or what ever

SoF Radient setup

if you are using sof platinum edition you will have to change it to read sof

First of all install SoF into its default path as this will save a lot of work later on

C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF

now install SoF SDK v 1.1    to its default path DOWNLOAD

C:\Program Files\SoF SDK

now install Qped this will allow you to open PAK files to extract files from SoF  DOWNLOAD

now look in the C:\Program Files\SoF SDK\Bin  Copy these 3 files

To your C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base

In your SoF SDK\Bin folder there is a Sof.qe4 file this needs editing so to save you time we have one here all ready done for you.. We also have a updated entities.def file for you to download put them in your C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base.............  DOWNLOAD

 still In your base folder make  a new folder called pics and in that folder put this file called colormap DOWNLOAD still in your pics folder make a new folder and call it sky

in your C:\Program Files\Raven\SOF\base make 3 new folders                      

now close all windows... if you still have any open......

In your base folder you will see pak0 open this with Qped and extract the folders from the textures folder to your textures folder you made in your base folder

do the same with the sound folder in pak0 extract to your sound folder in base

close off qped

This should be the worst bit over :)

Open sofradient go to file and down to project settings make your setting the same as in the picture below then click ok

now go to edit and down to prefrences make your prefrences the same as below and click ok

Close sofradient and open it back up you will now be asked to search for your sofqe4 file its in your sof/base folder

This should be the installation complete.. If you are having problems its usually due to typo's in paths directories..
